More Than a Game: Why Our FC26 Tournaments Mattered
In difficult times, keeping young people engaged matters more than ever.
That is one of the reasons we recently held two in-house FC26 tournaments at Alliance. On the surface, it was a simple club activity built around competition, fun, and a trophy everyone wanted to win. But for us, it meant more than that.
In times of crisis, kids still need moments that help them feel normal. They need to laugh, connect, compete, and be around people who make them feel safe and supported. These moments may look small, but they can make a big difference to a young person’s energy and emotional state.
The tournaments also gave us something else: a chance to bond with our players in a different way. Not through drills or coaching points, but through shared moments, banter, celebration, and healthy competition.
At Alliance, we believe player development is not only about what happens on the pitch. It is also about building trust, connection, and a strong sense of belonging.
That is why these FC26 tournaments mattered.
They brought energy into the club, kept our players engaged, and reminded us that sometimes the small moments are the ones young people remember most.
